Cascon Process
How We Design and Build Your Custom Pump
We have the experience.
Cascon has been providing custom pump solutions to original equipment manufacturers (OEM) for over 35 years. We deploy development, verification, and manufacturing processes refined over the lifecycle of hundreds of successful products.
Whether lubricating a high-torque industrial gearbox in a heavy mobile defense machine, scavenging 400°F oil from a gas turbine aeroderivative, supplying fuel for an uncrewed aerial vehicle (UAV) engine, metering chemicals for industrial packaging, or circulating coolant in a spacecraft environmental system; Cascon provides the engineering, design, manufacturing, verification, and aftersales support to ensure your success. You can expect integrity and professionalism from every member of the Cascon team as we collaborate to create the perfect pump for your unique application.

Opportunity Evaluation
We work consultatively with companies who know their market and have a vision of solutions to serve it. If that involves a pump or related product that you don’t find off-the-shelf in a catalog or on the internet, we can help. A custom-engineered pump solution will enhance the form, fit, and function of your application and provide the best lifecycle value, but its development does require an investment of time and effort.
Our customers’ success always comes first. If we don’t think a custom pump is the right solution, we’ll tell you and do our best to help direct you elsewhere. If you choose Cascon, know that we are committed to providing the best possible value and the competitive advantage you need for your original equipment design and manufacture.
Requirements and Program Management
We follow a rigorous yet flexible process for managing your technical and commercial requirements throughout the complete product lifecycle — from conception to full-scale production and eventual obsolescence.
We apply a progression of tools to ensure the performance, quality, and reliability of your custom pump, whether used to lubricate a transmission, supply fuel to an uncrewed aerial vehicle (UAV) engine or provide life support to an astronaut.
Custom Pump Engineering & Design
Realizing successful solutions is what drives us. We take an agile approach based on your requirements, which can be stringent as for the launch of an aerospace rocket, or flexible as for the design of a heavy mobile transmission pump.
Can a design really be considered great until its value is proven in the marketplace? We don’t think so.
Our tenured engineering team has experienced the entire product lifecycle time and again, from conception to obsolescence. The dozens of design decisions regarding materials, critical part clearances, selection of key subcomponents, and manufacturing processes are all made with your commercial success in mind.
Prototype Manufacture
Custom-engineered products often require the manufacture of physical prototypes to allow you to develop your product and support the necessary verification and validation steps prior to production launch.
We manufacture your prototypes using equipment and processes representative of production manufacture so you can be confident in a smooth transition to production launch of your original equipment – and be assured of no surprises.
Design Verification & Validation
We employ a disciplined approach to verifying that your prototypes meet all design requirements to support a successful product launch. We’ll measure flow, pressure, input power, and other key performance characteristics. We’ll also ensure the structural integrity of the design and its resistance to environmental conditions such as corrosion, vibration loads, shock loads, and variations in electrical power quality. We routinely test to the requirements of RTCA DO-160, MIL-STD-461, and MIL-STD-810.
Production Manufacturing
Our dedicated workforce is empowered to do the right thing every time in pursuit of delivering the highest quality products possible for you. The equipment in our state-of-the-art, 60,000 square-foot facility represents the latest in machine tools and manufacturing technology and can support production quantities from ten to ten thousand. All our products are made right here in the USA in accordance with a certified ISO 9001:2015 certified Quality Management System.
After Sales Support
Cascon stays with you for the entire product lifecycle in support of the pump your original equipment requires. It’s not uncommon for our customer relationships to span twenty years or more as we support a single pump product. We’ll be there to help with inventory management, product improvements, value engineering efforts, and managing eventual obsolescence.
In support of sustainability and a circular economy, we offer repair and upgrade services. The typical scope of work for repair includes any pump modifications required to meet the latest design configuration and specifications within each part number. Cascon warrants the repair against defects in materials or workmanship, same as new.
