Opportunity Evaluation

Right Partner. Right Pump.

1 – Custom Pump Project Inquiry Submission and Evaluation

We encourage you to submit your custom pump project inquiry, preferably along with a documented specification or alternatively our Concept Design customer requirements worksheet, through one of the following means:

Upon receipt, and based on the information provided, we will assess whether your inquiry aligns with the products and services that Cascon can provide. If there appears to be a fit, Cascon will engage further seeking technical and commercial discovery. For unqualified leads, Cascon will politely disengage, and where possible, recommend alternate suppliers and/or solutions in support of your inquiry.

2 – Technical and Commercial Discovery

In support of a technical assessment and eventual proposal, Technical discovery aims to determine the next-level fit with Cascon’s technical capability.  Our data requests typically include the following (which may or may not be contained in your project specification if provided):

  • Pressures and flows.
  • Input power (mechanical or electric drive).
  • Mounting/interface/weight.
  • Operating life.
  • Environmental requirements.

Through Commercial discovery, we seek to determine the expected commercial value in support of a proposal should your inquiry mature and be accepted as a project. We want to understand the following:

  • Prototype phase:
    • Quantity needed
    • Timing – which month/year(s)
  • Production phase:
    • Quantity – Estimated Annual Usage (EAU)
    • Target price per production unit
    • Timing for production – starting, and lasting over, which year(s)
  • Is there project funding available for:
    • Non-Recurring Engineering (NRE)
    • Design verification services
    • Production tooling
  • Your supplier selection process.
3 – Non-Disclosure and Proprietary Information Agreements

We respect that you may require a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA), Proprietary Information Agreement (PIA), or equivalent before sharing the detailed information necessary to evaluate your inquiry. Cascon offers our Confidential Disclosure Agreement (CDA) for your consideration in this regard.  Alternatively, we can review your proposed confidentiality agreement upon submittal via sales@casconpump.com.

4- Export Control Compliance Considerations

It is our mandate to ensure that the sale of all Cascon products comply with all applicable US export control laws and regulations. Because the products you may purchase are, or may be, for export or re-export outside the United States, we will need your support to ensure this compliance.  We may request this early during the evaluation of your project inquiry as part of our custom pump project inquiry qualification process.
