Prototype Manufacture

Elegant, reliable design is only the beginning.  Bringing the design to reality through the manufacture of prototype hardware comes next.

Mechanical components for all Cascon products are manufactured at its sister company, Chamberlain Machine. This 35+ year strategy of U.S-domestic manufacturing provides for agile and efficient translation of the design output and ensures components meet all design specifications. Activities carried out during the prototype manufacturing cycle include:

• Preliminary rapid development of manufacturing methods, tooling and fixtures
• Procurement of specialty items as needed (O-ring seals)
• Procurement of COTS items (fasteners)
• In-house machining (turning, milling, grinding, finishing, etc.)
• Management of outside specialty operations (surface treatments)
• Product assembly
